What is the clear mind at work program?
With today’s fast-paced working lifestyle, we are becoming accustomed to being available and online most of the time, including the weekends. For many, this is simply a characteristic of modern working life – and the drive for organizational efficiency and competitiveness.
The downside of this development however is that we sometimes feel agitated or stressed for periods of time. Many of us are not able to fully live in the present moment due to constantly thinking of past events or speculating about what may possibly take place in the future. This means we can never completely relax and enjoy inner calm and peace. This imbalance can negatively affect not only an individual’s home life but also their working life as well.
The Clear Mind at Work program is designed to help people build and maintain a proper balance between a mentally and physically active life while retaining a calm and contented mind.
- understand and get to grips with stress, anxiety, frustration and self-inflicted expectations
- improve focus, creativity, communication, peace of mind and well-being
- attain inner calm and mental peace
- improve the balance in quality of life between the home and the workplace
- acquire tools and practices that will allow you to integrate these principles into your daily life.
We will work together with you to create a program structure that suits your employees and work schedules. Guided by our workshop team, you may choose to conduct the workshops at your own place of work or elsewhere. The program is flexible and supports the demands of the busy working environment.
Learn to recognize what it means to be busy on the outside but calm, relaxed and focused on the inside. Practise a simple and highly effective 15-minute meditation exercise that can be easily integrated into our daily lives to improve mental balance, focus, inner calm and wellbeing.
Learn how to use mindfulness and meditation to embrace the changes and challenges we meet in our home and working lives, without the unhealthy stress and anxiety they often produce.
Learn, through a highly practical approach, how to be more focused and aware of what is happening around us, so that we are able to make wiser and healthier choices in our working and personal lives.
Learn, through this enhanced leadership approach, how we can all work and lead with greater wisdom, understanding and compassion. Learn how to positively influence others.
You may book any combination of the workshops, although we strongly recommend following all four. If you book more than one, you should allow a week between them so that the participants can familiarise themselves with the tools acquired before the following workshop.
Each of the four workshops lasts preferably 1½ hours, and in any case no less than 1 hour.
Workshops may be scheduled at any time of the working day, including lunchtime.
A conference or presentation room or lecture theatre is best. The teacher will sit in a chair facing the participants, who will also be sitting in chairs. Class size can be anywhere from 5 to 30 or more.
Individual workshops cost kr. 4,000 each. The full course of four workshops costs kr. 14,000.
Our lead workplace teacher
The workshops are led by Gen Kelang Daö, principal meditation teacher of the Kadampa Meditation Centre in Copenhagen. Gen Daö has 20 years experience of teaching meditation and mindfulness in the UK, New York and California in the US, Taiwan and Sydney, Australia.
