Let’s be clear. Thinking is necessary. We need to think, reflect, understand, know, make decisions etc. However, sometimes our thinking becomes unclear, circular, negative, stuck or limited. We may also have a tendency to overthink things, which can be exhausting and unproductive.
In this series of classes, you will be introduced to Buddha’s description and understanding of the mind. Buddha provided a complete psychology of the mind which is highly relevant today as we try to navigate our modern world. You will learn meditations that help you let go of confused, negative or stuck thinking – and open up the natural, peaceful, positive and clear states of mind that we all have the potential to develop.
Furthermore, you will also learn ways of thinking that help your mind remain balanced, calm and clear in daily life – and how to practise and train in meditation.
About our Monday class
Everybody is welcome to attend any of the classes. Each class is self-contained, and you can just “drop-in”. No booking is required.
At the classes, most people sit on chairs, though meditation cushions are provided for those who wish to use them. Classes are taught in easy-to-understand English and are suitable for complete beginners as well as those with more experience of meditation.

Fear Less – becoming free from anxiety

Not much good comes from anxiety – yet it seems like there is a lot to be anxious and worried about! Therefore it’s easy to get stuck in anxiety.
Buddha taught many meditations (ways of thinking), based on wisdom that we can learn to free ourself from feeling stuck in and exhausted by anxiety-laden thoughts.
In this workshop, you will learn a wisdom approach to navigating the concerns of your life. Through practising the meditations taught, you will be able to break the circle of anxious, worried and fearful thinking. Instead you will discover how to live a more enjoyable, fulfilled and courageous life. Ultimately, through understanding and putting Buddha’s wisdom into practice, it’s possible to live free from all fear.
About our workshops
Everyone is welcome to join our Saturday morning workshops. No previous experience of meditation is needed, nor is any special clothing required. Most people sit on chairs, though meditation cushions are provided for those that wish to use them.
The workshops are presented in easy-to-understand English and are attended by people with a great variety of backgrounds and culture. Each workshop consists of two teaching sessions with meditations, and a light brunch is served between them.
Workshop fee: 200kr | members: 50kr (light brunch included)
These Clip Cards enable you to attend any of our general weekly drop-in classes. Each Clip Card covers 4x or 8x classes and will save you up to 25% on the class-by-class fee. You simply use the card each time you drop in to classes. If you can’t attend every class in the series, no problem, you can use the remaining clips for future classes / series.
To obtain a Clip Card, simply buy it below and your new card will be ready for you to pick up at Kadampa Meditation Centre, Copenhagen at your next visit. You just need to show the confirmation email on your phone or as a print-out. There is no need to book in advance for these classes.
