De ligger generelt i weekenderne, er åbne for alle. De inkluderer guidede meditationer, undervisning, lidt at spise og massere tid til at snakke og slappe af.

The key to happiness

Come along to an inspiring evening with guided meditation and practical advice from Buddha’s timeless teachings that will reveal how to become the positive and happy person we would like to be.

Kadam Morten Clausen will offer practical advice on what lasting happiness is and how we can achieve it. Through using meditation and special ways of thinking we can empower ourselves to enjoy satisfying and meaningful lives. The talk will be in English and will include guided meditations and the chance to ask questions.

Born in Denmark, Kadam Morten has for many years been the Principal Teacher at the largest meditation centre in New York City – the Kadampa Meditation Centre NYC. He is known for his clarity, humour and inspirational presentation of Buddha’s advice. Kadam Morten’s teachings are always practical and easy to apply to everyday life and he has helped many people find true happiness in their hearts through his gentle, joyful approach.

Urban Retreat

Escape the stress and busyness of life and discover the peace of meditation for yourself. On this one-day Urban Retreat on mindfulness, be guided in meditations that enable you to get to know and gain control over your mind, rather than having your mind control you. Learn the techniques to let go of negative, toxic thoughts, instead creating positive thoughts which give rise to happiness. This will enable you to let go of painful, agitated minds and draw out your real potential: to be mindful, focused and peaceful in meditation and in your daily life.

The workshop will include talks and guided meditations in clear, easy-to-understand English. This workshop is suitable for beginners and those with more experience of meditation.

Fearless

At this one-day meditation course, special guest teacher Kelsang Jangdom will explain how to understand and overcome our fears.

Everybody experiences fear from time to time, whether it be fear of what people think of us, fear of the future or fear of failure. If our fear becomes extreme, we can feel paralyzed and overwhelmed, unable to make decisions or move forward with our life.

According to Buddha’s teachings it is possible to transcend our fears and attain a state of fearlessness. But this can only be accomplished through investigating them and uncovering their source in our own uncontrolled minds.

The workshop will include talks and guided meditations in clear, easy-to-understand English. This workshop is suitable for beginners and those with more experience of meditation.

Meditation og mindfulness for børn

klokken 15:00 til 16:15 | med Lidet Abiy

I denne månedlige lektion vil børnene blive guidet gennem afslappende og sjove lege og meditationsforløb. Målet med lektionen er, at bruge mindfulness-teknikker til at udvikle børnenes indre fred, selvtillid og god måde at se andre.

Lektionen passer bedst til aldersgruppen 5 til 12 år, men børn i alle aldre er velkomne, og forældre er også velkomne til at deltage. Der er te og kaffe til forældrene og en sund snack til børnene.

Pris: 50 kroner pr. barn. Vi anbefaler, at I melder jer til i forvejen da pladsen er begrænset, men I er også velkomne til bare at komme forbi på dagen og deltage, hvis der stadig er plads.

Meditation & mindfulness for kids

In these monthly classes, children will be gently guided through relaxed and fun craft activities, games and meditations. The aim of these classes is to use mindfulness techniques to help with children’s healthy development, inner peace, confidence and good heart towards others.

The class is most suitable for ages 5-12, but children of any age are welcome. Parents can also participate in the activities. Tea and coffee is provided for parents and a healthy snack for the children.

Class fee: 50kr per child – we recommend you book in advance as spaces are limited, but you are able to drop-in and pay on the day if there is still space available.

Hur du kan omvandla ditt liv
– en lycksalig resa

Söndagen den 10 juni | 10.30 – 13.00 | Yoga Kendra, Friisgatan 6c, Malmö

I juni välkomnar vi huvudläraren från Tara Kadampa Buddhistcenter i Stockholm, buddhistmunken Kelsang Jangdom, till Malmö. Stockholmscentret har då just haft den stora glädjen att ge ut den livsavgörande boken “Hur du kan omvandla ditt liv” på svenska. Bokens författare är den internationellt erkända buddhistiska läraren, Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, och släpptes första gången på engelska 2016 och nu kommer den alltså på svenska. Geshe Kelsang presenterar Buddhas urgamla budskap på ett oerhört tydligt sätt som väcker genklang hos den moderna människan och som lätt kan tillämpas i vardagen. Den här boken kommer med största säkerhet att förändra ditt liv. Av Geshe Kelsangs alla 22 böcker (inklusive Modern Buddhism med över 1 miljon nedladdningar) föreslår han själv att man ska börja med just Hur du kan omvandla ditt liv.

Workshopen består av meditationer och en föreläsning med buddhistmunken Kelsang Jangdom, Geshe Kelsang Gyatsos lärjunge och representant i Stockholm. Kursen ger dig en möjlighet att lära dig hur du själv kan utveckla ett lugnt sinne genom rogivande meditationer och hur du kan behålla ett positivt sinne i en hektisk vardag genom att tillämpa inspirerande tankesätt från den buddhistiska traditionen.

Every year, our tradition, the New Kadampa Tradition – International Kadampa Buddhist Union (NKT-IKBU) organises world-wide programs on modern Buddhism and meditation to explain how to apply Buddha’s teachings (Dharma) to modern living. The programs include International Festivals, National Festivals and Dharma Celebrations. Everyone is welcome, Buddhist or not.

The events vary in length from two days to two weeks, but whatever their duration they all offer a vacation with a difference – a chance to break free from the hectic routines of daily life and focus on the things that really matter. You will come away not only refreshed and relaxed but also spiritually re-energised.
