In our busy modern lifestyles and increasingly hyper connected digital world, its easy for us all to feel a little disconnected from ourselves, others and what matters the most in life. Our minds can easily feel quite busy and distracted, so that we rarely feel fully centred in the present moment, or focused on what leads to genuine well-being. In this workshop Kadam Adam will introduce us to highly practical meditations and mindfulness trainings that are real solutions (for everyone) to this modern day challenge.

We will discover how in reality, this moment is all there ever really is. We will learn how to reconnect to a natural sense of presence, peace of mind and well-being that enables us to feel grounded and centred in this present moment. In this way we will develop the confidence to change, to be free of distraction and mental agitation. Also feeling centred in the present, we realise we don’t have to continue to feel burdened by a past long gone or constantly anxious and fearful about a future that has not yet happened. By paying attention to the present we feel free of the past and creatively shape the future we want.In this way we become confident we are focused in this moment on what matters most, and moving towards the peaceful, happy and fulfilling life we all seek. The morning will include talks & guided meditations in clear, easy-to-understand English.

Enjoy a unique and deeply relaxing weekend of meditation, in the tranquil setting of Langebaek retreat centre. Set in the beautiful southern Zealand countryside, everyone is welcome to join this retreat. It is suitable for those who are are new to meditation and those with experience.

About the meditation retreat

Discover how we all have an inner potential for self-transformation and a limitless capacity for the development of peace of mind, happiness and good qualities such as love, compassion and wisdom.

We will learn special meditations drawn from the highly practical and profound set of practices known as the ‘Mahamudra meditations’, that enable everyone to fully realise this potential. These inspiring meditations have been practised for centuries and are proven methods to gain deep experience of the nature and extraordinary potential of our mind and self.

We will learn how to engage in meditation on the nature of the mind, sometimes called ‘The clarity of the mind’ meditation. Through this practice we can experience the natural peace, clarity and limitless potential of our mind. We will see how experience of this meditation enables us to easily let go of perceived faults and limiting beliefs that we may hold about ourself. We will also become confident in our ability to cultivate our inner potential for good qualities, inner peace and joy.

We will also learn how to train in a special meditation that enables us to experience the true nature of our self. We will realise that we are not as fixed, stuck or limited as we can often feel we are. In truth, we exist in a state of profound freedom and limitless potential. Connecting with this sense of freedom in meditation we become confident that we can change, reach our highest potential, and live the truly happy, meaningful and fulfilling life we want.

What is a meditation retreat?

A meditation retreat gives us the opportunity to take a break from our busy life and take some time out to deeply relax. We give ourself time to focus on gaining deeper experience of meditation and its benefits. On retreat you will discover how meditation improves your overall levels of inner peace, happiness and well-being. This can give us great encouragement and confidence in our ability to continue to enjoy meditation and its benefits long after the retreat is over.

The retreat program

The weekend starts with an introduction session at 7.30pm on Friday, 21st April. A light supper will be served at 6pm on Friday 21st, before the retreat starts. It finishes at 3.30pm on Sunday, 23rd.

There will be 4 x talks and guided meditation sessions on Saturday and 3 x talks and guided sessions on Sunday. In each session Kadam Adam will explain clearly how to engage in the particular meditation and its benefits for our daily life. Then he will guide each meditation, enabling us to gain deep experience of each meditation and its benefits. All talks and meditations will be in clear, easy to understand English.

During the breaks you can take a peaceful walk in the beautiful surrounding countryside and quiet nearby forest. Also, you can simply relax or chat with the other people on the retreat, in what is always a warm, friendly, and relaxed atmosphere.

About the venue

Langebaek retreat centre offers the ideal environment for a relaxing and inspiring weekend meditation retreat. Set in the tranquil setting of the southern Zealand countryside, it is a beautiful historical building that has been renovated to a high standard, with cosy rooms and areas to read or relax.
