Busy life, calm mind - Kadampa Meditation Centre CPH
Workshop
Busy life, calm mind
12 Sep kl 10:00 - 13:15

Description of class

Do you have a busy life? Do you know anyone who doesn’t have a busy life? It seems we are all pretty busy.

A calm mind is really important. With a calm mind we can enjoy everything we do. Developing a meditation practice will definitely help. Many people experience that the small time investment of a meditation practice, or joining a meditation class, pays off significantly in terms of our ability to get things done – and to do them with a calm mind.

In this workshop, you will have the opportunity to learn and practice meditation, hear how to build a meditation routine and develop wisdom-based ways of thinking that help you keep your mind calm in daily life. Along the way, you will also develop some personal insights about your busy life. Maybe we can’t do much about our busy lives, but we can definitely do something about our busy mind!

About this workshop

Everyone is welcome to join our Sunday morning workshops. No previous experience of meditation is needed, nor is any special clothing required. Most people sit on chairs, though meditation cushions are provided for those that wish to use them.

The workshops are presented in easy-to-understand English and are attended by people with a great variety of backgrounds and culture. As the workshop takes place in a buddhist meditation centre, it will start with a short buddhist prayer.

Each workshop consists of two teaching sessions with meditations, and a light brunch is served between them.  As we arrange brunch for workshops, it would be helpful if you would book in advance, so we know how many people to cater for.  However, it is still possible to “drop-in” if you decide to attend last minute.
