About the meditation retreat
Discover the power of living with real love, compassion and wisdom for improving our life and all our relationships. At this time the world needs more love, compassion & wisdom. In this retreat we will discover how we can all accomplish this. We will learn meditations and ways of relating to daily life, that have proven effective for centuries in enabling everyone to live and grow these good qualities.
We will explore meditations that enable us to access and maintain inner peace and joy, even when experiencing difficulties. Connecting to the natural peace and joy within our mind opens us up to recognising and identifying with the potential for happiness, love, compassion and other good qualities that exist within each and everyone of us. We will explore how meditation enables us to connect to, strengthen and grow this inner potential.
This retreat will be based on meditations and practises for daily life explained in the inspiring book ‘The new eight steps to happiness’ by Gehse Kelsang Gyatso. This highly practical manual for personal development shows us how we can use every situation we meet in life – good or bad – to strengthen and grow our love, compassion & wisdom. In this way we will gradually find a deep and lasting inner peace, happiness and well-being within, no matter what is happening in our life. We will discover there is no more powerful and positive way to solve our own and others problems – as well as live a truly happy and fulfilling life – than to live with love, compassion & wisdom.
What is a meditation retreat?
A meditation retreat gives us the opportunity to take a break from our busy life and take some time out to gain deeper experience of meditation and its benefits. On retreat you will discover how meditation helps improve our overall levels of inner peace, happiness and well-being. This can give us great encouragement and confidence in our ability to continue to enjoy meditation and its benefits long after the retreat is over.
The retreat program
The weekend starts with an introduction session at 7.30pm on Friday, 27th October. A light supper will be served at 6pm on Friday 27th, before the retreat starts. The retreat finishes at 3.30pm on Sunday, 29th.
There will be 4 x talks and guided meditation sessions on Saturday and 3 x talks and guided meditation sessions on Sunday. In each session Kadam Adam will explain clearly how to engage in the particular meditation and its benefits for our daily life. Then he will guide each meditation, enabling us to gain deep experience of each meditation and its benefits. All talks and meditations will be in clear, easy to understand English.
During the breaks you can take a peaceful walk in the beautiful surrounding countryside and quiet nearby forest. Also, you can simply relax or chat with the other people on the retreat, in what is always a warm, friendly, and relaxed atmosphere.
About the venue
Langebaek retreat centre offers the ideal environment for a relaxing and inspiring weekend meditation retreat. Set in the tranquil setting of the southern Zealand countryside, it is a beautiful historical building that has been renovated to a high standard, with cosy rooms and areas to read or relax. The meditation room is a tranquil, light filled room, overlooking the beautiful park like garden. The delicious vegetarian meals over the weekend are all lovingly prepared by the in-house chef at Langebaek retreat centre. All prices are the total price for the weekend. The price includes cosy rooms, 3 x delicious vegetarian meals per day, and the retreat fee:
