Countryside meditation retreat
Meditations for deeper peace and joy
October, Fri 28th – Sun 30th | with Gen Daö | Langebaek retreat centre
Enjoy a unique and deeply relaxing weekend of meditation and inspiration in the tranquil setting of Langebaek retreat centre, in the beautiful southern Zealand countryside.
About the meditation retreat
In this retreat we will explore through our own experience, the link between meditation, the breath and how to enjoy a deeper, longer lasting peace and joy in our life.
Although a simple practise, breathing meditation can reveal some profound insights into the nature and potential of our own mind. We will learn how to use various breathing meditation techniques to connect to the natural peace and joy of our mind. This opens us up to recognizing and identifying with the potential for happiness, love and other good qualities that exist within each and everyone of us.
We will also gain experience of special meditation techniques whereby we can use the breath to significantly enhance our natural qualities of love and compassion. These proven practices known as ‘Taking & giving meditation’ help us to feel a deeper and longer lasting sense of connection, closeness, love and empathy towards our family, friends and others.
The emphasis will be on how to integrate what we learn on the retreat into every aspect of our life: work, family, friends, down-time etc. Whether we are an experienced meditator or new to meditation, this retreat will greatly help us to improve the quality and enjoyment of our meditation practise, and life in general.
The retreat is suitable for both beginners and experienced meditators. In clear, easy to understand English. The retreat starts with an introduction session at 7.30pm on Friday, 28th October. It finishes at 3.30pm on Sunday, 30th October. A light supper will be served at 6pm on Friday 28th, before the retreat starts.
The all-inclusive fees for the weekend, including teaching, accommodation and food are
Single room – 3500kr
Twin room – 2500kr
There is a 10% discount for supporting members. The number of single rooms available is limited, but we will do the best to accommodate your wishes.
What is a meditation retreat?
A meditation retreat gives you the opportunity to take a break from your busy life and take some time out to deeply relax. You give yourself time to focus on gaining deeper experience of meditation and its benefits. On retreat you will discover how meditation improves your overall levels of inner peace, happiness and well-being. This can give us great encouragement and confidence in our ability to continue to enjoy meditation and its benefits long after the retreat is over.
This weekend retreat will start with an introduction on Friday evening at 7.30pm. There will be 4 x talks and guided meditation sessions on Saturday and 3 x talks and guided sessions on Sunday. In each session Gen Daö will explain clearly how to engage in the particular meditation and its benefits for our daily life. Then he will guide each meditation, enabling us to gain deep experience of each meditation and its benefits.
During the breaks you can take a peaceful walk in the countryside and quiet nearby forest. Also, you can simply relax or chat with the other people on the retreat, in what is always a warm, friendly, and relaxed atmosphere.
