Introduction to Tantra – using your imagination
October, Sat 26th | 10.00 to 13.15 | with Kadam Tim | KMC Copenhagen
According to Buddhism, everyone has the potential to experience lasting inner peace and happiness – by developing their innate good qualities through meditation. An enlightened being, or Buddha, is simply someone who has developed themselves fully, and now has the skills and means to help others do the same. Since everyone has this potential, everyone will eventually attain the state of enlightenment.
Tantra is the means to do this quickly. It’s called the “quick path to enlightenment”. Buddhas teachings are divided into two sets – Sutra and Tantra. The Sutra teachings provide the foundation and the Tantra teachings fulfill the aims of the Sutra teachings. They can be practiced together. Tantra works by “bringing the future result into the path”. In other words we use our imagination to create ourself as an enlightened being living in a pure world – and this imagination functions to accelerate this becoming a reality.
In this workshop you will learn how Tantric “technology” works to fulfill our wishes quickly. To practice Tantra you need to have a Tantric empowerment and in there is an opportunity to receive one at the Nordic Dharma Celebration the following weekend on Nov 1 – 3rd in Oslo. This workshop will provide you with the background understanding you need to practice Tantra – the quick path to enlightenment – either now or later. Everyone is welcome, and no previous experience of meditation is needed.
About our workshops
Everyone is welcome to join our Saturday morning workshops. No previous experience of meditation is needed, nor is any special clothing required. Most people sit on chairs, though meditation cushions are provided for those that wish to use them.
The workshops are presented in easy-to-understand English and are attended by people with a great variety of backgrounds and culture. Each workshop consists of two teaching sessions with meditations, and a light brunch is served between them.
