Meditation & growing inner resilience
Talks & guided meditations
October, Sun 23rd to Nov 13th (3 x weeks) | 11:00 to 12:30 | with Gen Daö | KMC CPH
In this new series we will explore how training in meditation and mindfulness can help everyone grow their inner resilience or inner strength. Whether it’s just the lack of sun light in winter, or difficulties at home or work, we will discover how to meet all of these, free from the usual stress, anxiety and fear they can produce.
Meditation teaches how to connect to a natural source of peace and happiness within ourself. We will learn how it is possible to maintain that sense of mental balance, peace and joy, even when we face difficulties. Through learning to look at every situation with wisdom we discover how to face and happily work with all the challenges we meet. We will develop the confidence that knows there is no situation so bad that it cannot be accepted with an open, accommodating and peaceful mind. Through this we open ourself up to a solution-based approach to problems. In this way we will grow our inner resilience and come to know a deeper peace and joy that cannot be disturbed by the inevitable challenges we meet.
The classes are taught in clear, easy-to-understand English. They are suitable for complete beginners and those with more experience of meditation. Each class is self contained.
