Love without pain

January, Sat 20th | 10:00 to 13:15 | with Gen Daö | at KMC CPH

Love can give rise to great happiness but all too often it seems to lead to pain and suffering. This is because we fail to understand the difference between love and attachment. Love is the source of happiness whereas the pain and sorrow in our relationships arises from our attachment.

In this course, Gen Dao will explain how we can approach our love for our partner, family and friends from a fresh, new perspective by learning how to discriminate clearly between love and attachment. In this way our relationships will become more harmonious, joyful and long-lasting, and function to draw us closer to a state of pure and lasting happiness.

Living in the Moment

Sat 27 Jan | 13.30-16.00 | With Gen Daö | Yoga Kendra, Friisgatan 6C, Malmö

In our busy lives we find it very difficult to relax and enjoy the moment. Even while we are doing things we like, our mind is never in the present – we are constantly making plans for the future, worrying about what might happen next, and never really feeling content.

On this course we will learn meditations to help us let go of this limiting mental habit. Through this we will develop a peaceful mind, be able to make the most of every moment of our life and begin to uncover its true meaning.

The workshop will include talks and guided meditations in clear, easy-to-understand English. This workshop is suitable for complete beginners and those with more experience of meditation.

Workshop fee: 250 SEK (190 DKK)| students 150 SEK (115 DKK)|

Lev i nuet

international events

Every year, our tradition, the New Kadampa Tradition – International Kadampa Buddhist Union (NKT-IKBU) organises world-wide programs on modern Buddhism and meditation to explain how to apply Buddha’s teachings (Dharma) to modern living. The programs include International Festivals, National Festivals and Dharma Celebrations. Everyone is welcome, Buddhist or not.

The events vary in length from two days to two weeks, but whatever their duration they all offer a vacation with a difference – a chance to break free from the hectic routines of daily life and focus on the things that really matter. You will come away not only refreshed and relaxed but also spiritually re-energised.
