Beyond fear: meditation without limits

We all experience fear and anxiety at times in our lives. Our anxieties and fears often cause us to be limited from what we are truly capable. By learning to view all situations that cause anxiety and fear in more constructive ways we can gradually let go of many of these fears and by learning to view ourself in more beneficial and expansive ways we can gain the confidence that will take us beyond fear.

In this workshop, Sam will introduce meditations on the nature of the mind and practical ways of thinking that will help to change our relationship with fear and gradually replace it with peace of mind, confidence and well-being.

This workshop is suitable for beginners and those with more experience of meditation. The workshop is taught in clear, easy to understand English and includes morning coffee, tea and pastries.

New Years eve – meditation and celebration

December, Sun 31st | 21:00 to 00:15 | with Gen Daö | at KMC CPH

Start the new year with a peaceful, positive mind and a loving heart. This special event is also an opportunity for making our resolutions for the new year heartfelt and effective.

The event will be held in the tranquil candle lit setting of the Kadampa Meditation Centre. We start the evening with relaxed socialising and enjoying a light vegetarian buffet and non-alcoholic drinks.

Gen Daö will then give a brief talk entitled ‘Living with love and compassion’. After this we will engage in the much loved chanted meditation practice of the Buddha of compassion, Avalokiteshvara. This will be include time for silent meditation where we can develop our own positive resolutions to take us into the new year. Then the evening will conclude with a non-alcoholic New Year’s toast.
