Faith, logic and doubt
March, Friday 6th | 18.30 to 20.00
with Gen Kelsang Dragpa
When it comes to spiritual matters, many people see faith as illogical. For others, having doubts is seen as negative.
However within Buddhism, in both faith and doubt, logic plays a major role. Buddhist faith is built on solely upon reasoning and personal experience. In a similar way, Buddha actually taught doubt as an essential pre-requisite to logically establishing the truth.
At this special event, western Buddhist monk Gen Kelsang Dragpa will explore faith, logical reasoning and the process of doubting. Through teachings, meditation and question & answer, you will be led through a fascinating investigation of how Buddha taught us to establish the truth of things. The evening is for suitable for those who already have a spiritual practice and those of us who are not sure!
