These weekly classes are suitable for beginners and those with more experience. In general, each class includes a talk and two guided meditations designed to help everyone find greater inner peace, happiness and well being in their lives. The classes teach proven methods and meditations to become more aware & present in the moment, overcome stress, cultivate inner strength and experience greater harmony in our relationships.

How to make friends with your mind

Mondays: June 8, 15, 22, 29 – 19.00 to 20.30

In these classes, we will explore the themes introduced by Kadam Morten in his recent live-stream class from New York City to Denmark.

We will learn and practice a meditation that eventually brings us to a deep knowledge and understanding of our true potential. With this as a foundation, we will learn to trust our mind as a reliable source of peace and happiness, as well as be able to better navigate our way through problems when they occur.

Teachings for these classes will be drawn from Geshe Kelsang Gyatso’s books “How to Transform Your Life” and “How to Solve our Human Problems”. Both books are available here, and the former can be downloaded for free.

We are happy to be able to offer “drop-in” classes physically at the Centre again. However, due to regulations, we are restricted to a maximum of 20 people in a class. Places are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Normally, there should not be a problem with numbers, but please come early to ensure your space. Doors open 30 minutes before the class starts and tea is served.

Modern Buddhism: Liberate your self

Wednesdays: June 3,10,17,24 – 18.30 to 20.30

Buddha’s first teaching was the Four Noble Truths. In it, he explained the path to liberation from all suffering.

In this month’s Modern Buddhism classes, we will investigate this teaching and its relevance for today’s world. By sincerely practising these teachings, even modern-day people can permanently liberate themselves from all forms of suffering and find lasting happiness.

Over the four weeks, we will look at each of the Four Noble Truths, using the commentary from Geshe Kelsang Gyatso’s book Modern Buddhism that you can download for free here.

The classes include teaching, discussions together with guided and chanted meditations. Everyone is welcome 🙂
