Description of this workshop
Spring is lovely! It’s a time of renewal, new life and growth.
We can apply the idea of renewal, new life and growth to our self and our relationships too! Now is a good time to consider who we would like to be, how we want to relate to others and what meaning we wish our life to have.
Through gaining experience of meditation and understanding our true nature, we can become confident of our own potential and possibilities for growth – which transforms our relationship with our self.
This in turn leads to a confidence in our ability to build and maintain healthy relationships with others. Of course, transforming our self and our relationships takes time and effort, but feeling good about our self, based on wisdom and experience, enables us to grow continually even during times when we are not feeling particularly good.
In this special interactive Spring workshop, we will explore through teachings, meditations and discussion how to develop a new understanding of our self and our potential.
Through gaining this understanding we will position ourself with a positive outlook – the basis of renewal, new life and growth – not just for Spring, but for the entire year!
About this workshop
Everyone is welcome to join our Saturday morning workshops. No previous experience of meditation is needed, nor is any special clothing required. Most people sit on chairs, though meditation cushions are provided for those that wish to use them.
The workshops are presented in easy-to-understand English and are attended by people with a great variety of backgrounds and cultures. As the workshop takes place in a buddhist meditation centre, it will start with a short buddhist prayer.
Each workshop consists of two teaching sessions with meditations, and a light brunch is served between them. As we arrange brunch for workshops and space is limited to 20 people, it would be helpful to book in advance. However, it is still possible to “drop-in” if you decide to attend last minute.
