Class description
As the holiday season approaches, we naturally think about how can we can, from our side, make the holidays a happy time.
A good starting point is to think about appreciating the kindness of others. Once we are conscious of the kindness of others, and our interdependence with them, the mind of gratitude comes effortlessly.
And if gratitude is present in our mind, then giving is easy and joyful. Then everyone can be happy, which is what we would like.
Join this series of meditation classes to get some extra insight into kindness, gratitude and giving. From our side at least, we can build the foundation for having a happy holiday season!
About the classes
We will explore theses topics in this series of Monday classes during December. Each class can be attended individually or as part or the series and consists of an explanation of meditation, two guided meditations, a teaching, some discussion and an opportunity to ask questions.
As these teachings originate from Buddha, there will be short prayer in English during the class. However, you do not need to be a Buddhist or have any particular belief or faith to join the class and participate. Buddha taught for everyone.
Most people sit on chairs, though some meditation cushions are available. No previous experience is needed and you can “drop-in” to any class on Mondays. Tea is served from 17.45 and everyone is welcome 🙂
