Meditating from the heart - Kadampa Meditation Centre CPH
Monday meditation
Meditating from the heart
29 Aug kl 18:00 - 20:00

Class description

The first series after the summer break is about how to meditate effectively. It’s also about how to bring about the positive, authentic and lasting changes in our mind that we would like to make.

We will explore how to get “out of heads” and “into our heart”.   When we are “in our heart” we are connected to our true self, and making connections to others becomes easier.

As we will learn, real change only happens when we are able to change our mind at our heart.   To do this, we need to learn to meditate from the heart, by bringing our meditative contemplations to our heart and allowing them to touch our heart.   The way to do this was taught by Buddha and is something anyone can learn.  Through meditation experience we discover that, actually, change is not so difficult.

The benefits of learning to do this are incalculable. As our mind at our heart changes, we change.   And as we change the world that appears to us changes.  Thus the way to change our world is to learn to meditate from the heart.

About the classes

We will explore this topic, in this series of three classes during August 2022. Each class can be attended individually or as part or the series and consists of two meditations, a teaching, some discussion and an opportunity to ask questions.

Most people sit on chairs, though some meditation cushions are available.   No previous experience is needed and you can “drop-in” to any class on Mondays.  Tea is served from 17.45 and everyone is welcome 🙂
