Somehow we have found ourselves with a precious opportunity – we are in possession of a human life! This is a truly wonderful thing that we must not take for granted.
How did we create the causes to be born as a human? What can we do with this life? How can we make each moment of our life meaningful? These are important questions that we will address in this workshop.
The key to making the most of our life is to rejoice in this opportunity. Rejoicing is an important practice that leads to living life with a sense of gratitude and joy. As we will come to understand in this workshop, every moment of our human life is rare, precious and meaningful. It can be used to create causes of future happiness and good fortune.
“Being me”, a human being, is something to celebrate and rejoice in every day!
About this workshop
Everyone is welcome to join our Saturday morning workshops. No previous experience of meditation is needed, nor is any special clothing required. Most people sit on chairs, though meditation cushions are provided for those that wish to use them.
The workshops are presented in easy-to-understand English and are attended by people with a great variety of backgrounds and cultures. As the workshop takes place in a buddhist meditation centre, it will start with a short buddhist prayer.
Each workshop consists of two teaching sessions with meditations, and a light brunch is served between them.
