The purpose of meditation is to familiarise ourself with positive states of mind. In this way, we will become increasingly peaceful and content, which will make it easier for us to be of benefit to others.
In this free talk, visiting teacher Gen Kelsang Chö, will explain what meditation is, its life changing benefits, and give us the tools and confidence to start integrating meditation into our daily life. In particular the following topics will be discussed:
The different types of meditation and the benefits they can bring
How simple meditations help you become happier, more compassionate & loving
How Buddhist meditation can transform the way you see the world, enabling you to find meaning in your daily life.
How those wishing to go deeper can discover a profound and life-changing spiritual path
We will be able to gain practical experience in a guided meditation, as well as the opportunity to ask questions. After the event there will be light refreshments and the chance to speak informally with the teacher.
Everyone is welcome to join this event, no matter what your level of experience of meditation.

This is a special free event with visiting teacher Gen Kelsang Chö, who is coming to Copenhagen for the weekend. Gen Chö is the Resident Teacher at Kadampa Meditation Centre, Rome.
