With a trained mind – anything is possible!
Mondays: Nov 2,9,16,23 – 18.30 to 20.00
with Kadam Tim
In these classes, we learn and practice meditation. Meditation is about training the mind and it’s much more effective when our mind is concentrated, free from distraction. Therefore in this series, we will explore how to improve our concentration – both in formal meditation and as we go about our daily activities.
To deepen our understanding of our mind and how it works, we will investigate the troublesome mind of attachment, with a view to understanding how it interferes with our concentration. We will learn meditations that help us improve our focus by controlling our distractions.
In particular, as we will learn, how through training our mind we can realise the full potential of our precious human life. With a trained, relaxed, comfortable, undistracted and peaceful mind – indeed anything is possible!
Lineage of these instructions
The meditation practices we teach come from an unbroken lineage of instructions that go back to the teachings of Buddha, over 2500 years ago. They are timeless instructions that are very relevant for developing and maintaining a peaceful mind in today’s world.
Teachings for these classes will be drawn from Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche’s books “How to Transform Your Life” and “How to Solve our Human Problems”. Hard copies of both books can be purchased at the Centre. A digital version of the latter is available here available here, and a digital version the former can be download for free here.

Places are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Normally, there should not be a problem with numbers, but please come early to ensure your space.
