Inner Vacations - Kadampa Meditation Centre CPH

Inner Vacations
10 Jul kl 18:00 - 19:30

As summer approaches, our thoughts turn to our vacations.  But wouldn’t it be nice to be able to go on vacation at any time?  Meditation provides a way to experience something that you might call an “inner vacation”.   You let go of the things that are bothering you, experience a different environment and come back feeling more relaxed and revitalised.

In our Monday classes during July, experienced teachers will explain and lead meditations on how to take an “inner vacation”.   Also, like most vacations there are some challenges that need to be overcome, so we will also look at how to get over the obstacles that get in the way of building a habit of meditation.  The aim is that you will learn what meditation is and how to meditate by yourself during the summer break.  In doing so, you will discover that you have a wonderful holiday destination in your own mind!

About the classes

We will explore this topic in this series of Monday classes during two classes in July. Each class can be attended individually or as part or the series and consists of an explanation of meditation, two guided meditations, a teaching, some discussion and an opportunity to ask questions.

As these teachings originate from Buddha, there will be short prayer in English during the class. However, you do not need to be a Buddhist or have any particular belief or faith to join the class and participate. Buddha taught for everyone.

Most people sit on chairs, though some meditation cushions are available. No previous experience is needed and you can “drop-in” to any class on Mondays. Tea is served from 17.45 and everyone is welcome 🙂
