These weekly classes are suitable for beginners and those with more experience. In general, each class includes a talk and two guided meditations designed to help everyone find greater inner peace, happiness and well being in their lives. The classes teach proven methods and meditations to become more aware & present in the moment, overcome stress, cultivate inner strength and experience greater harmony in our relationships.

Meditation, joy and inner purpose

September, Mon 19th to Oct 10th (4 x weeks) | 19:00 to 20:30 | with Gen Daö | KMC CPH

In this series, perfect both for newcomers and those more experienced, we will explore the relationship between meditation, happiness and a deeper sense of purpose in our lives. Buddhist meditation teaches us how to access and maintain inner joy, even when experiencing difficulties. Connecting to the natural joy within our mind opens us up to recognizing and identifying with the potential for happiness, love and other good qualities that exist within each and everyone of us. This empowers us with a sense of purpose in our life, an inner drive to actualize our unbelievable potential so that we can of be real benefit to our family, friends and everyone throughout our world. The emphasis will be on how to integrate our practice of training the mind with every aspect of our life: work, family, friends, down-time etc.

The classes are taught in clear, easy-to-understand English. They are suitable for complete beginners and those with more experience of meditation. Each class is like is self contained. So, you can just drop in whenever you can, or attend the whole series. A Clip Card (see below) enables you to attend the whole series (or other classes) and save up to 25% on the class-by-class fee.

Relax, unwind and refresh after a long day at work. These 40 minute classes are specifically designed to help you relax into the evening and connect to a little peace and inspiration in the middle of your week. Each class includes a guided relaxation meditation and a brief talk with practical advice on how to maintain a natural sense of peace of mind, happiness and well-being in daily life.

Everyone whether religious or non-religious, is looking for happiness all the time and wants to be free from problems, mental discomfort and pain all the time. In these weekly drop-in classes, discover how Buddhist meditation and psychology offers everyone (Buddhist and non-Buddhist), highly practical solutions to fulfill these wishes. We all have the potential to find the real inner freedom and happiness we all long for. These classes will enable us to identify, and fully actualize that potential.

Each week, we will explore the highly practical and inspiring trainings and meditations known as Lojong, or training the mind. Normally we experience a lot of stress and anxiety when we meet problems and challenges in our life. Discover how through training in Lojong we can learn to grow stronger and happier through the challenges we meet. Also we will learn how we can all become the genuinely loving, kind, wise and confident person we wish to be. The classes will be based on the book ‘The new 8 steps to happiness’ by Geshe Kelsang Gyatso.

The classes are taught in clear, easy-to-understand English. They are suitable for complete beginners and those with more experience of meditation. Each class is like a mini, stand-alone workshop. So, you can just drop in whenever you can, or attend the whole series. A Clip Card (see below) enables you to attend the whole series (or other classes) and save up to 25% on the class-by-class fee.
