Description of this workshop
How wonderful it would to develop mental habits that effortlessly lead us experience happiness!
Patience, gratitude, generosity, kindness, confidence, love, compassion and wisdom are all examples of positive mental habits that we can strengthen, so that all our actions become causes of happiness.
In this workshop you will be introduced to a meditation method called “training in the five forces”, which was taught by Buddha. It will enable you to develop any positive habit of mind that you wish. This is a method that you can use throughout your life to improve your mental habits.
About this workshop
Everyone is welcome to join our Saturday morning workshops. No previous experience of meditation is needed, nor is any special clothing required. Most people sit on chairs, though meditation cushions are provided for those that wish to use them.
The workshops are presented in easy-to-understand English and are attended by people with a great variety of backgrounds and cultures. As the workshop takes place in a buddhist meditation centre, it will start with a short buddhist prayer.
Each workshop consists of two teaching sessions with meditations, and a light brunch is served between them.
