Take a step back from the busyness of life and give yourself the gift of peace and clarity this winter. At this city retreat, we will focus on cultivating the art of being present by training our minds with meditation.
So often, our minds are caught up in the past or worrying about the future, leaving us disconnected from the present moment. Through ancient Buddhist meditation techniques practiced by meditation masters, you will learn how to let go of mental distractions and reconnect with the natural peace and happiness within.
This retreat includes periods of silence, allowing you to deepen your experience of inner calm that you can carry into your daily life.
Whether you are new to meditation or have an established practice, this retreat offers a rare opportunity to slow down, recharge, and experience the profound benefits of living in the moment.
About this retreat
This retreat is open to everyone, with no prior meditation experience needed. You are welcome to join us as you are—no special clothing is required. Most participants sit comfortably on chairs, though meditation cushions are also available.
The retreat is conducted in clear, accessible English and welcomes people from a variety of backgrounds and cultures. The sessions will be led by experienced meditation teacher Kadam Tim, who has been a student of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso for over 22 years.
To support a deeper experience, we will practice verbal retreat by keeping silent until the end of third session.
