Being in the here and now - Kadampa Meditation Centre CPH
Monday meditation
Being in the here and now
30 Jan kl 18:00 - 19:30

Class description

In the first series of classes of the New Year, we will focus on training the mind in becoming a “human being” rather than a “human doing”.

Is there a difference living as a “human being” rather than a “human doing”?  How does it it feel to be in “being mode” rather than “doing mode?”  And how do you get into “being mode”?

Meditation can definitely helps to become more present in the here and now in daily life.

Being in the here and now is a powerful way to bring all our meditation practices together, improving our presence, concentration and energy in each moment.

“Being” doesn’t mean we stop “doing”.   However It enables our actions of “doing” to be of a higher quality.   Therefore this training is relevant for for everyone who wishes to improve themselves by improving their mind.

About the classes

We will explore theses topics in this series of Monday classes during January. Each class can be attended individually or as part or the series and consists of an explanation of meditation,  two guided meditations, a teaching, some discussion and an opportunity to ask questions.

As these teachings originate from Buddha, there will be short prayer in English during the class.   However, you do not need to be a Buddhist or have any particular belief or faith to join the class and participate.   Buddha taught for everyone.

Most people sit on chairs, though some meditation cushions are available.   No previous experience is needed and you can “drop-in” to any class on Mondays.  Tea is served from 17.45 and everyone is welcome 🙂
