Being kind to your self - Kadampa Meditation Centre CPH
Workshop
Being kind to your self
11 Feb kl 10:00 - 13:15

Description of this workshop

What does it mean to be kind to your self?

And which self are we talking about?   Some people seem to be good at being kind to themselves.  Others find it a struggle.  What is going on?  This topic can be very confusing.

Fortunately the teachings of Buddha, also known as Dharma, provides clarity on what it means to be kind to yourself.   We will explore this topic in this workshop through teachings, discussion and meditation, and come to understand the following:

  • the difference between the true self and the non-existent self
  • how to be truly kind to our true self
  • how being kind to our true self also benefits other

Increasing our wisdom on this topic will enable us to understand our self better make better decisions about our life.

(The topic of this class is related to the Nordic National Festival weekend coming up from March 17-19 in Stockholm “The Buddhist Way of Loving Kindness”)

About this workshop

Everyone is welcome to join our Saturday morning workshops. No previous experience of meditation is needed, nor is any special clothing required. Most people sit on chairs, though meditation cushions are provided for those that wish to use them.

The workshops are presented in easy-to-understand English and are attended by people with a great variety of backgrounds and cultures. As the workshop takes place in a buddhist meditation centre, it will start with a short buddhist prayer.

Each workshop consists of two teaching sessions with meditations, and a light brunch is served between them.
