Who am I and what is my potential? - Kadampa Meditation Centre CPH
Monday meditation
Who am I and what is my potential?
05 Jun kl 18:00 - 19:30

Class description

“We should know that we need to identify our own mind, our own body and our self correctly. Since beginningless time our way of identifying our self has been mistaken.” – Geshe Kelsang Gyatso

If we are to develop our self and our potential, then we need to identify ourself correctly.   As the above quotation indicates, normally we misidentify who we are. Fortunately in Buddha’s teachings we can find a clear answers to the question – “Who am I and what is my potential?”

Through identifying and meditating on the correct nature of the self, we will discover our extraordinary potential, whilst as the same time, eliminating many of our usual problems.

In this series of classes, we will explore Buddha’s wisdom teachings on the true nature of the self. These classes will also function as an introduction to the International Kadampa Summer Festival in the UK from July 28th to August 12th.

About the classes

We will explore this topic in this series of Monday classes during three classes in June. Each class can be attended individually or as part or the series and consists of an explanation of meditation,  two guided meditations, a teaching, some discussion and an opportunity to ask questions.

As these teachings originate from Buddha, there will be short prayer in English during the class.   However, you do not need to be a Buddhist or have any particular belief or faith to join the class and participate.   Buddha taught for everyone.

Most people sit on chairs, though some meditation cushions are available.   No previous experience is needed and you can “drop-in” to any class on Mondays.  Tea is served from 17.45 and everyone is welcome 🙂
