“Hanging out with a Quiet Mind” is your opportunity to join a down-to-earth exploration of meditation, providing accessible tools for navigating the challenges of a busy mind. By training in meditation we can uncover the tools to having a happy and peaceful mind.
No prior experience required – just an openness to accept where you are now and an interest in finding calm amid the chaos of daily life. Whether you’re a newcomer to meditation or seeking a fresh perspective you’re very welcome. We recognize the diversity of meditation experiences.
About this workshop
This workshop is one is a series that has been requested by and tailored for students and young professionals grappling with these common challenges. We plan to hold one of these special workshops every 3 months.
Everyone is welcome to join. No previous experience of meditation is needed, nor is any special clothing required. Most people sit on chairs, though meditation cushions are provided for those that wish to use them.
The workshops will be presented in easy-to-understand English and will be attended by people with a wide variety of backgrounds and cultures.
Each workshop consists of two teaching sessions with meditations, and a light refreshment is served between them. There’s also the opportunity to ask questions, discuss, and socialise with others.
