Class description
When it comes to our physical health, there is a lot of knowledge and information available about our body and how to take care of it. To a large extent we know what to do, and we do what we can to keep physically well.
However, when it comes to knowing and caring for our mind, generally things are not so clear. What is our mind and how do we care for it? How do we develop and maintain a balanced, relaxed and comfortable mind?
In this series we will explore the nature and function of the mind. We will explore how to take care of our mind through this understanding and practicing meditation.
Through understanding the nature and function of our mind we will be able to care for it better. This will have many benefits including becoming more present, becoming able to harness the power of our mind and being able to fully enjoy our life.
About the classes
We will explore this topic, in this series of Monday classes during October. Each class can be attended individually or as part or the series and consists of an explanation of meditation, two guided meditations, a teaching, some discussion and an opportunity to ask questions.
As these teachings originate from Buddha, there will be short prayer in English during the class. However, you do not need to be a Buddhist or have any particular belief or faith to join the class and participate. Buddha taught for everyone.
Most people sit on chairs, though some meditation cushions are available. No previous experience is needed and you can “drop-in” to any class on Mondays. Tea is served from 17.45 and everyone is welcome 🙂
